Are you ready to be bored out of your wits... oh you already are... well then in that case!
You know how sometimes you have a good day, and sometimes you have a bad one. Or maybe you have one of those days that you just can't decide whether it was good or bad. (wow, I type slow!) Well I had one of those indecisive days today.
I woke up at 6:00 a.m. to my brothers alarm clock (not cool). But I managed to fall asleep anyway (as it kept going off). Then I woke up at 6:30 to my dad telling my brothers to wake up and tern of their alarm that had been going off for a half an hour. fell half asleep; kind of dreaming kind of listening to my dad talk across the house. then I finally woke up for reals at 7:00 when my alarm went off.
now in the old days, (before the last two kids) my family had a list of things to do before we had breakfast. We don't have the list anymore but this morning it re-entered my mind, and I thought I would see if I could still recite it. So back in the day each child in my family would...
Say their prayers
make their bed
get dressed
tidy their room
go to the bathroom
do their hair
wash their face
tidy the bathroom
and do their devotions
BANG! So I did the list this morning, and I know now that if I hadn't my day would have been horrible. alas it was... something ells.
Then it was off to work! on my (my brothers) bike. No it isn't a motorcycle and yes I was working 6.6 miles away from home. It took me a half hour to get there (not all that bad for an $70 bike), a fairly nice morning ride. well three hours later I have to go home... now it's 12:00... I'm hungry, I'm tired, it's hot outside, the wind has picked up, and I have to ride against it... straight against it. (did I mention I am bad at spelling? you should probably know that).
Forty minutes later I was sitting in my dining room eating some P. B. and J, made with homemade bread. it was heavenly. Then I had some soup and more bread. and then off to work... (wait didn't I say that already?)
Anyway, I spent the next hour of my life, 1/4 mile away from home (thank the Lord), mowing a few lawns for my neighbor.
then I went home, fell asleep, woke up, watered some trees, picked some apples, and wrote a blog post... ish.
